The nearest railway stations are Dunblane, Perth and Gleneagles. If you're coming from the south, your best route is probably to get off the train at Dunblane and catch the 15/15A bus to Crieff at the station there.
Crieff has bus services connecting it to Perth and Stirling (routes 15, 15A & 155) which run roughly every half hour during the day, Auchterarder (routes 18 & 18A) and, on school days, St Fillans/Killin (route 890). Or you can see the sights by hopping aboard the excellent local bus service (no.45) which was enhanced and improved quite recently. Up to the minute timetables are also on the Perth & Kinross Council website - http://www.pkc.gov.uk/bustimetables
Coming to the Hoolet, it's best to get off the bus in Burrell Street near the Meadow Inn. From there, it's a 3-4 minute walk to the house.
There are lots of nice walks starting from the front door of The Hoolet - more information on another sheet and in The Hoolet's library. Crieff is a lovely town with a good range of shops, galleries, restaurants and parks all within a few minutes walk from the house in Carrington Terrace.

Leave the A9 at Greenloaning onto the A822 ( in parts this is a modernised Roman road), drive through Braco (lovely riverside walk and very impressive remains of a Roman fort and camp at the north end of the village), carry on through Muthill (ancient church, forest walks, excellent restaurant – the Barley Bree) to Crieff. Keep on the main road, cross the River Earn and continue up Burrell Street. Turn left on to Carrington Terrace immediately after the pelican crossing (you'll see the Co-op and the Meadow Inn on your right). The Hoolet is on your right further along Carrington Terrace.
